We start by laying both fabrics on top of each other. Making sure the folded edges line up. We then placed the pattern on top, pinned it in place and then cut through all layers.
After the dress was cut out out we decided we wanted to add some ruffles so we cut three (2" tall by the full width) strips of each fabric. We started prepping each fabric for sewing by presseing one of the strips in 1/2.
