Today we worked on the reversible dresses.
We started by stitching one side seam
Then we made the reversible ruffle. I recently bought a ruffling foot for my Kenmore sewing machine and I love it. It saves so much time
and makes a perfect ruffle.
Then we sandwiched the ruffle in-between the two layers
and stitched along the bottom of the dress
and along the top from the open side seam
to the other open side seam.
We clipped the curves so everything will lay flat when we turn it.
We then reached in between the two layers and pulled the side seams on the right to meet the side seams on the left. We lined up the armhole seam and the bottom seam and stitched around leaving a 3" opening to turn everything through.
